You will manage the on-site services development and customer operations for the Avitas Detection of Corrosion Under Insulation (DCUI) project. The Field Services Engineer is a critical role for executing the project that is a bridge from early proof of concept testing to full commercialization. The role requires both technical and project management skills as methodologies of different types are matured with close interactions with the customer to gain user experience feedback while maintaining regular coordination and communication with the Baker Hughes Avitas Operations team in Houston, Texas.
As a Field Services Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Demonstrating a culture of safety when performing asset integrity service
Engaging and communicating with the remote Avitas engineering team daily
Coordinating with the customer regarding schedules for pipe integrity inspections
Collecting RGB images for asset onboarding using a variety of image collection techniques (tripod, backpack, aerial)
Setting up and operating infrared thermal imaging cameras (e.g. FLIR T640, T800, T1000)
Optimizing the infrared thermal data collection processes within Oil & Gas congested assets
Helping develop georeferencing technologies to localize Condition Monitoring Locations
Ingesting data into a local data center or cloud
Analyzing and improving image and video data for quality as necessary
Training the customer on data collection techniques
Setting up and trouble shoot wireless data communication technology
Helping develop operational plans for scaling of the DCUI inspection processes
Gathering feedback on customer challenges, recommendations and experiences in using prototype
Providing customer support for questions on product processes and data quality standards

Have Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or Physical Sciences
